Reuniting military service dogs with their handlers.
Hundreds of military dogs are left behind on foreign soil when they are retired from duty and we aim to ensure that no dog is left behind. While military veterans are given first dibs at adoptions, the process is often long, complex and costly. Numerous studies have shown that veterans suffering from PTSD are better able to manage their condition – and have more successful outcomes -when the bond with their canine partner is restored.
We want to help place retired military dogs in the loving homes of their former handlers, where they can tackle their problems together. Much like they did on the battlefield.
